A family-run company, we create beautiful bespoke cabinetry and furniture both free standing and built in. John Hussey started after finishing his training as a bespoke cabinetmaker from Dublin Institute of Technology - Bolton Street. In 1996 John established as a Sole Trader becoming a Limited Company in 2005, trading as Husswood Ltd. A vast majority of our work is generated through recommendations from previous clients. This is due to the personable service we provide and the impeccably handcrafted bespoke products we produce. John and his team have a wealth of experience and a passion to provide an excellent service matched with exciting, stylish and innovative design.
Design Approach.
John works very closely with the client, architect or designer to achieve the best result for the customer. Involving and consulting with the client at every stage of design and construction, you can be guaranteed that your finished pieces will be exactly to your specification. For each project we discuss the design process and assess the clients’ needs. We make recommendations to reflect both the clients taste and budget. Each project is dealt with professionally and we have a very highly qualified, committed and experienced team to build the perfect bespoke furniture, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room etc. You can be rest assured that you are dealing with quality craftsmen as our workforce is all time-served tradesmen. John is conscious of the sustainability of the natural timber resources and endeavours to purchase only timber accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and from suppliers who comply with the European and International regulation guidelines on sustainable resources. John uses timber importers that are certified under The Forest Products Chain of Custody Certification Scheme to import and distribute Certified Timber products
